About us

Christopher and Lydia Chavez have been working together since 2004 when they learned how to make beads from the purple Quohog shell local to Long Island, NY.

Lydia A W-Chavez, a member of the Unkechaug Nation, is known for her wampum belts and weaving both traditional and contemporary styles.

Christopher L Chavez, Eastern Shoshone/Meskwaki, has carved shell sculptural work, historical tool recreations and custom wampum jewelry displayed in many museums and collections.
